Today I interviewed my classmate, Thet, about obesity. She said whenever she hears the word ‘obesity’, 'overweight’ comes to her mind. In her country, obesity is not a problem, only some rich people are overweight. She said obesity makes your blood pressure higher and can harm your heart, but obesity can increase because many people eat a lot of junk food and fast food which is not good for your health. Obese people should pay higher medical charges. She thinks that maybe governments can heighten ‘fat tax’ and people have to pay ‘fat seat’ in a plane etc.
At the moment, the parents are too busy and have no time to make some healthy meals for children. They also spoil their children by giving them more junk food. At last, Thet said “when so many people in the world are starving, obesity is immoral!”

ReplyDeleteYes, I feel soory for obese people because more of them have grown up eating unhealthy food which was not their choice but their parents' lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteSome people like body size bigger because they think it is strong and good looking. In Australia government don't say overweight "Obesity" is not good for the person. It is up their choiceif they want to live healthy life or not. Government can only suggest putting warning signs and introducing program about losing weight.I
